Tūhura Otago Museum is home to the only 3D planetarium in Australasia. It is a 360-degree dome theatre with a screen that surrounds you. Stretching from the ceiling to the floor, you’re immersed in the action.

Our presenters are fun, informative, and love sharing their passion for science and astronomy. The Sky Tonight show, explores how the sky over Otago will look on the night of your visit in this fascinating exploration into the stars above us. We have shows for kids of all ages on weekends and school holidays. Uncover the mysteries of the solar system while taking part in live (and explosive) science experiments.
