Kids love Otago Museum

Back to Insiders

“I like going to the museum (Otago Museum) because there are fun things to do. I liked the space room (Perpetual Guardian Planetarium) because it felt like I got to stay up late.”

Ásta (6)

“The zoo up the stairs (Animal Attic) has lots of cool animals. I thought the lion was real but luckily it didn’t move. I like the butterflies in the forest too (Tūhura Tropical Forest) because you can touch them. The butterflies wouldn’t leave me alone, I think they liked me.”

Hudson (8)

“We got a muffin from the restaurant (cafe) and looked in the shop. I got a mini telescope so I can look at the stars because I like stars, but I’m not allowed to look at the sun.”

(Paige (7)

“The best thing about Otago Museum is you can visit the whole universe.”

Harriet (5)

At Otago Museum you can touch and play with lots of things… but there are some things you definitely don't want to touch - like the giant millipede or the tarantula!”
