Enterprise Dunedin is Dunedin City Council’s economic development and destination marketing agency. Our purpose is to work on behalf of Dunedin residents to facilitate the city’s economic development, so they can enjoy a great quality of life in one of the world’s great small cities.

As the regional tourism organisation we work in partnership with local tourism industry groups and businesses, event and conference organisers, national and international media, trade wholesalers, inbound tour operators, travel agents, Tourism New Zealand and the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand to promote the city as a fantastic place to visit.
Destination Management
- Enterprise Dunedin is the lead partner for the delivery of the Ōtepoti Dunedin Destination management implementation plan.
- Overseeing the Dunedin cruise action group and the city welcome for passengers.
- Partnerships with local and national stakeholders, including Dunedin Airport and Air New Zealand.
- Undertaking research and sourcing data.
- Public relations and media liaison.
- Managing the Dunedin i-SITE visitor centre.
Destination Marketing
From a destination marketing perspective, our activities encompass:
- Guardianship and promotion of the Dunedin brand, encouraging local businesses and events to use it as a mark of identity and a marketing tool.
- Domestic and Australian marketing campaigns.
- Producing marketing collateral.
- Managing the DunedinNZ website and social media channels.
Travel Trade, Media & PR, Business Events
- Promoting the city to national and international trade and inbound tour operators.
- Offering workshops and opportunities to grow capacity in the local visitor industry.
- Familiarisation tours in Dunedin for travel trade, media and business events.
- Managing DunedinNZ's media program
- Promoting the city as a business events destination and assisting with bids.
