Holy Cross is steeped in history. From the original homestead built in 1876 by Arthur Burns to the national seminary of the Catholic Church NZ for nearly 100 years, we have opened the doors for all to experience a slice of history.
Burns Lodge at Holy Cross is the ideal venue for groups, gatherings, weddings, large meetings or spiritual retreats.
As a not-for-profit organisation we aim to enable a wide range of groups to use the facility. We offer starter packages for groups on a strict budget as well as professional packages for corporates and businesses. We are regularly used by school trips, sports teams, community organisations and religious meetings.
Facilities include 3 conference rooms, 2 dining rooms, multi-purpose hall, 2 common rooms, a 250-seat lecture theatre and a chapel.
All our room rates come with a full continental breakfast. We can accommodate up to 120 people and offer a variety of accommodation from budget-conscious to premium.
