Small business owners can learn about the support, advice and funding available from government agencies at two roadshows in Otago this month.
The Taking Care of Business roadshows will be held on Monday 27 August in Queenstown and on Wednesday 29 August in Dunedin.
Business support information will be available from the Otago Regional Business Partner (apartnership between Enterprise Dunedin, the Otago Chamber of Commerce, and Otago Southland Employers Association), the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Ministry for Primary Industries, Inland Revenue Department, ACC, Immigration New Zealand, Statistics New Zealand, WorkSafe New Zealand, Ministry of Social Development, Employment New Zealand, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Intellectual Property of New Zealand.
Otago Regional Business Partner business advisor Ross Grey says the roadshows are examples of how government agencies are working together to understand and meet the needs of businesses.
“You can find out first-hand about the range of government support services available for you to help your small business - whether it involves tax, exporting, ACC, business statistics, intellectual property, trade and innovation, health and safety regulations, or funding opportunities.”
“This is a chance to hear from the experts about what is available to make things easier for you, so you can spend less time on compliance and more time on your business.”
Following the presentations from government agencies, attendees can speak directly to agency representatives.
Business people can also learn about the experiences of local business owners using the
Otago Regional Business Partner Network and the impact it has had on their business.
