What’s your favourite Dunedin spot?

There are so many it is hard to choose but Tunnel Beach is a dramatic and an absolutely magical spot.

How does Dunedin inspire you?

Having recently relocated home to Dunedin after eight years away I have been blown away by how culturally active the city is and how much there is to see and do. Wonderful theatre, music, galleries, museums and public lectures continue to inspire me.

Which season is best experienced in Dunedin?

I think autumn is particularly beautiful with mild days and a wonderful quality of light.

Name one “must do” for visitors to Dunedin?

The butterfly house/tropical forest at the Otago Museum is simply incredible and the butterflies are stunning, it will appeal to children and adults alike.

How do you like spending your Sunday?

Good coffee in a local boutique cafe with the Sunday paper and/or exploring the peninsula and its fantastic beaches or the botanical gardens with my children and perhaps even a trip to the library to stock up on some new books and magazines.

What’s your favourite Dunedin spot?

There are so many great ones to choose from. For me it would have to be one of the amazing white sand beaches on the peninsula. I love St Clair and I love a couple of the beaches around Purakaunui Inlet....but my favourite is Sandfly Bay, just so secluded, pristine and beautiful.

How does Dunedin inspire you?

All of it does. The culture, the people, the beautiful natural environment and terrain, the architecture, the amazing clever creative people who operate out of the city, the brilliant student lifestyle and culture, the academic nature of the town......it all makes for one very cool boutique city, that is completely unique in NZ.

Which season is best experienced in Dunedin?

Spring. The breaking of winter into beautiful fine spring days. You feel the energy come out in the city and its people.....just can’t beat it.

Name one “must do” for visitors to Dunedin?

Must visit at least one of Dunedin's beautiful beaches.

How do you like spending your Sunday?

Being lazy! At the moment I spend it with my kids at the beach across the road from where I live in Devonport, AK. Sunday paper, food from the local French deli, maybe a sneaky pinot gris or Rose’ in the afternoon, and a paddle and catch a few waves on my latest water sport obsession - stand up paddle boarding.

What’s your favourite Dunedin spot?

St Clair beach. Fantastic to sun and swim in summer, and there's nothing like an invigorating walk wrapped up in your woollies in winter. Then a coffee / wine at one of the cafes on the beach front esplanade.

How does Dunedin inspire you?

The unique dark 'gothic' light that shrouds the city during winter and the amazing Victorian architecture are an inspiration even after my move north to Auckland. The two combined create a brooding mood not found anywhere else in New Zealand.

Which season is best experienced in Dunedin?

Winter. Don't fight it. The cool southern climate creates a great opportunity to get creative with your wardrobe and to stylishly wrap up!

Name one “must do” for visitors to Dunedin?

There are three Dunedin must do's.
   1. A drive around the Otago Peninsula, stop and experience the wildlife.
   2. Olveston. I love it. The best stately home open to visitors in New Zealand. I've lost count how many times I've been.
   3. Japanese at 'Jizo' on Princes Street just south of the Octagon. The best Japanese I've had outside of Japan.

How do you like spending your Sunday?

At the moment nothing to do with fashion or Dunedin. I'm training for a half marathon on the great wall of China in May. So Sunday's are running, running, and running.
