Day One

• Have breakfast at a cafe in Moray Place or the Octagon. From here it is an easy walk to First Church, Gallery de Novo and Cadbury World, for an early tour of the chocolate factory.

• For lunch, one of the cafes in the Octagon area will beckon, whether informal or fine dining.

• When you are replete, meet your pre-booked charter cruise down at the wharf and enjoy the Harbour views with your fishing rod draped casually over the side.

• At the end of the day, have dinner at a high-end restaurant where your very own fish will be immaculately presented by one of Dunedin's top chefs.

Day Two

(Saturday)

• Take a leisurely saunter through the Otago Farmer's Market chatting to local food artisans. Select some treats for lunch and head out to Port Chalmers for a picnic at the Lady Thorne Dell. If it's raining, leave your picnic in the car and have lunch at the Carey's Bay Tavern.

• You can drive over the back road to Waitati, enjoying the views and find your way to the Evansdale Cheese Factory. Sample some of the wares and make your selection before driving back into town for dinner and delicious wine.

Day Three

• For breakfast, drive out to St Clair to try one of the growing number of seaside cafes. You might enjoy a stroll around to Seconds Beach. You could even have a swim at St Clair Hot Salt Water Pool (in summer).

• After lunch at the top of the hill in Roslyn, drive to the world's southernmost winery Weston Winery for a pleasant afternoon of wine tasting. These tours must be booked in advance.

• For dinner, there are some fine restaurants that will serve you fresh fish and locally grown produce, as well as an exhaustive range of quality wines.

Day Four

• Have a day of beer sampling. Start with a lesson in home brewing at the Dunedin Malt House, before your pre-booked tours of the Green Man, Emerson, and Speights Breweries to fill in the gaps in your knowledge.

• To refresh your palate half way through the day, sample coffee at a couple of Dunedin's own coffee roasters. The coffee is as different as the cafes.

• If you finish the day at Speights, take the dinner/tour combo and dine at the Alehouse.

Day Five
