Cruise Dunedin

Port Chalmers, a small, historically rich port town, is the gateway to the Dunedin region when visiting by cruise ship and offers a huge range of activities for you to enjoy. 

We suggest that you check out the range of Shore Excursions offered by your cruise line as these are often tailored specifically for the time your cruise allows in our region.

Dunedin city centre is approx a 20 minute bus ride from Port Chalmers and the city centre provides many sightseeing, shopping or cultural activities to choose from. On the opposite side of the harbour, the Otago Peninsula offers spectacular scenery, rare wildlife and heritage sites

Dunedin i-Site staff will be available at Port Chalmers to assist with you in making the most of your time in this beautiful region and a city guide is distributed on disembarkation.

Free wifi is available for cruise passengers, and Dunedin has a mobile website to help guide you around our city.
