The Reef Seafood Restaurant & Bar offers a range of seafood and also plenty of non-seafood dishes available. The Reef was established over 12 years ago, however the place has never looked better since new owner Rob Griffiths and head chef Leighton took over in 2010. Leighton the chef is passionate about his career in food, he has traveled widely, appreciates fresh local food. Seafood and steaks are the mainstay of the menu, with whole crayfish grilled with garlic butter, and mouth-watering char-grilled steak. Bubbly, friendly staff make customers feel welcomed to The Reef's great atmosphere. The Reef also boasts an excellent range of range of local beers and wines. As the name implies, we specialise in prime tender Angus beef - the best steak available. Our menu is quite diverse, besides prime black Angus steaks, it also features lamb, chicken, pork, fish and vegetarian dishes. Angus Restaurant & Bar also has a variety of tasty entrees and luscious desserts. All vegetables are sourced daily through local suppliers. The Angus Restaurant & Bar premise is situated on three levels. At street level is formal dining area which can be partitioned off from the rest of the premises with elegant floor-to-ceiling drapes. Directly behind is reception with a waiting area where diners can sit and relax on comfortable settees while waiting for a table. A few steps up from reception is the Moon Bar, which opens at 5pm, live music on Friday and Saturday nights. A flight of stairs takes you from the bar up to a courtyard that has a partial glass roof, under which is a comfortable sitting area, a gas fire, and tables and stools. Adjacent is the family dining room which can accommodate 50-60 diners. We have highchairs and a childrens menu for 12 years and under. In one corner of the room is a quiet children’s area with beanbags, lots of soft toys and a table with chairs for children to draw and read. Each week we have a colouring competition for children with the prize of a free kids meal voucher. From mid 2011, Angus Cafe & Restaurant has been re-branded as Angus Restaurant & Bar

If you're coming to Dunedin make sure you check out the Otago Peninsula.
s it possible that we are actually half way through May? It seems like just yesterday that we were surfing in boardies (well, some of us) and enjoying surf sessions that started at 8:30pm and finished well after 10pm
Built in 1871, Larnach Castle is New Zealand’s only castle and is quite rightly one of Dunedin’s and New Zealand’s most picturesque places to visit.
