About Tourism Dunedin

Tourism Dunedin is a Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO). Most rate-paying regions in New Zealand and Australia have RTOs representing and marketing them in order to achieve economic wellbeing and investment. Currently there are 29 RTOs in New Zealand.

Tourism Dunedin's role is to promote Dunedin as an attractive and must-see leisure destination to potential travellers. This involves:

1. The publication of marketing materials such as brochures and websites.
2. Relationship building and sales calls to appropriate markets and travel companies/trade.
3. Targeting travel media and subsequently hosting them in the region.
4. Attending travel trade shows and educating and training the travel industry.
5. Discussions and relationship building with airlines to ensure we achieve growth in air services.
6. Working with other partners and regions in order to make the investment levels we have go further.
