Dunedin Public Libraries

Dunedin Public Libraries opened its doors in 1908 and today is the heart of the community, offering free Wifi, broadband internet, fantastic reads, great music, original artworks and much more.

The Library, often described as the living room of the city, provides a range of inviting physical and virtual spaces, and offers open access to information, education, ideas and works of the imagination across generations.

Libraries can be found in the City, Mosgiel, Port Chalmers, Blueskin Bay and Waikouaiti; along with two bookbuses that visit a wide variety of areas throughout Dunedin.
