Hocken Gallery

The Hocken Gallery at the Hocken Library showcases the breadth of the Hocken’s collections, which incorporate more than 15,000 artworks, with a changing exhibition programme.

The pictures collection traverses the history of New Zealand art from the nineteenth to the twenty first century and includes exceptional holdings of work by Colin McCahon and Ralph Hotere, two of New Zealand’s best-known artists of the twentieth century.

Mon, Weds, Th, Fri 9:30am - 5:00pm
Tues 9:30am – 9.00pm
Sat 9:00am - 12:00pm
