AOK Social Riders

The AOK Social Riders is a recreational mountain biking group which meets each Saturday for rides in the Dunedin area, or sometimes further afield. Ages range from 7 to 70. This group is aimed at introducing people to mountain biking, letting them explore the Dunedin area and meet new people, while getting some exercise. We usually break into at least 3 groups to cater for most abilities.

Back Road Bikes

Starting from Dunedin, motorcycling thru' some of New Zealand's (in fact the World's) most beautiful scenery, on often deserted roads... is motorcycling paradise.

Unique experiences on & off trail for the discerning traveller.

Otago Central Rail Trail

The 150km Otago Central Rail Trail thrusts deep into the heart of Central Otago, the only region in New Zealand with a continental climate; a magical stage for amazing performances by all four seasons. Whereas green is the predominant colour of the New Zealand landscape, here golds and reds rule. Overhead, Central Otago is big sky. Even cloud formations are different. Looking like stacks of oversize pancakes, lenticular (lens-like) clouds tower over mountain ranges skirted by the Otago Central Rail Trail. This year-round cycling and walking trail is a public reserve owned by the people of New Zealand. There's no cost for using it, although donations can be made to the Trust at most station sites. Because the trail follows an old railway line, hills are not steep, making it accessible to most ages and those with a modicum of fitness. There's so much to enjoy, it's wise to allow at least four days to cycle its full length, a good few days more if you're walking.

Peninsula Bike and Kayak

Based at Portobello we take Kayak tours to Taiaroa Heads and the inner harbour. As well as mountain bike tours to the Otago Peninsula. Hires also available.
