The Otago Farmers Market
The Otago Farmers Market is one of Dunedin's "must-do" activities, where up to 75 vendors offer Otago's wonderful fruit, vegetables, meats, fish, cheese, eggs, wines and many other products including delicious (healthy or decadent) bakery and prepared foods. The stall vendors, buskers, coffee and breakfast stalls, all present a unique "village-like" experience which should not be missed. Otago Farmers Market is held from 8am - 12.30pm, every Saturday morning, unless, very occasionally, Christmas Day or Anzac Day Fall on a Saturday. The picturesque and iconic Dunedin Railway Station provides a wonderful backdrop for this fantastic Farmers Market, which is known and respected world-wide.
