The New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2010 identified the protection and enhancement of our natural environment as central to a sustainable future for tourism in New Zealand...so we here at Tourism Dunedin have joined in and are sharing the vision of sustainable living!
We recognise the need for a sustainable future so are taking various measures to ensure that Dunedin can practice and encourage a lifestyle of sustainability. At Tourism Dunedin we are committed to leading the way and playing our part.
Some of the ways we are helping include...
- Bokashi- Bokashi, a generic Japanese term, meaning ‘fermented organic matter’ is a product which processes household organic matter into highly productive garden compost in just four weeks and is used by all of us here at our office in Dunedin.
- Paper Usage - We print double sided as well as having a draft paper tray in our photocopier.
- Food Scraps - We separate our food scraps from paper rubbish.
Become SUSTAINABLE...
