Regional Visitor Monitor

The Regional Visitor Monitor is a joint venture between the Ministry of Tourism, Tourism New Zealand, and New Zealand's six major Regional Tourism Organisations (Tourism Auckland, Destination Rotorua Tourism Marketing, Positively Wellington Tourism, Christchurch & Canterbury Marketing, Destination Queenstown and Tourism Dunedin).

This quarterly survey systematically examines the experiences of international and domestic travellers. Each Regional Tourism Organisation uses a standardised e-survey to gather data about its visitors while they are actually in the region. Information is collected about; visitor decision-making processes, visitor needs and attitudes, visitor behaviour and visitor satisfaction.
